A TEACHER from Bosham is on a mission to make children's dreams come true by completing three of the most gruelling physical challenges in the country.
Michael Neville (29), of Williams Road, ran the London marathon in 2hr 57min, and he has two more tasks to complete.

In his sights are the UK three peaks challenge, running up and down Britain's three tallest peaks in less than 24 hours, and the UK Iron Man triathlon which includes a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and a 26-mile run.

By putting his body through the pain barrier he is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for Midhurst charity Dreams Come True and inspire his pupils at Midhurst Grammar School to become more active.

"It was all to do with a new year's resolution," he said. "I see it in my role as a teacher to promote an active lifestyle.

"I have been there for only two months and the school has been hugely behind the idea."

The three peaks challenge takes place in July and covers Ben Nevis, Scaffel Pike and Mount Snowden.

His last event, the UK Iron Man, takes place in September.

He said: "I have two months between the three peaks and the triathlon to allow myself a bit of a rest and build up my training again. I have done triathlons and marathons before, but running up the mountains in possible extreme conditions is different."
