Three men from the Chichester area were part of a four-man team taking part in one of England's toughest charity events.
Ian Wakefield, (41), of Tangmere, Trevor Pullen, (42), of Fishbourne and David Acres (44), also from Fishbourne were part of Team Triaan in the Lakeland Challenge in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District.
The event took included three ra
ces of canoeing, cycling and climbing.
Challenge organiser Katherine Brindly said: "Team Triaan were always cheerful and chatted with the marshals and even managed to put in a credible performance at the post-event celebration."
The teams's task was to canoe 10.5 miles on Lake Windermere, cycle 26 miles from Wrynose to Hard Knott – the steepest track in England – and finally climb Scafell Pike while doing an eight-mile hike from Wasdale to the Langdale Valley.
The three men raised £6,800 for the Wooden Spoon Foundation, and won the best-dressed vehicle award and the cycle bowl for being the fastest competitors over the second part of the course with a time of 2hr 24min 53sec.
