West Wittering School's summer fair goes back to traditional fair roots on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm – all with the aim to include and involve as many of the local community as possible.
"So along with the usual stalls there will be a pet show and dog obstacle course, a fruit 'n' veg sculpture competition, a bake-off as well as a host of traditional and not-so-traditional games for all ages", said a spokeswoman.

"We will also be
opening the swimming pool, with a qualified lifeguard in attendance. The fair will kick off with a parade by a school samba band and a procession of small floats made by the children.

"There is a range of food options, from a barbecue to tea and cakes, a beer tent and Pimms tent. The central arena will see, as well as mad pooches, a country dancing exhibition, several bands and a chance to look over the floats.

"Stalls will include tombolas, plant and jewellery sales, toy stalls and many more. A giant raffle will take place with tickets available before and on the day. This event is a major fundraiser for the school's activities over the year."
