MORE than 130 children battled it out on the sports field at William Parker School on Sunday.
They took part in a variety of activities including netball, football, handball, mountain biking and frisbee at the Active Street Games event.
Olympic athlete Sean Baldock, who has competed in the 400metres for Great Britain, was among those in attendance as he was involved in getting the project off the ground.
Hastings Borough Council and several other organisations had planned the day of sports for children aged between 10 and 18 over the last three months.
A council spokesman said: "The event on Sunday was a great way to introduce some new activities to young people."
