A young singer from Hastings is hoping to become the next Charlotte Church.
Jasmine Allan, who is 12 and lives in St George's Road, is the youngest member of Opera South East whose voice has been described as 'the voice of an angel'.
Her proud mother Debby said: "Jasmine has a very good talent of singing classical music.
"She has singing lessons in Bexhill with Emma Burnett from Mad Fish and hopes to become the next Charlotte Church.
"Jasmine has received really good reviews and scored top grades in her singing exams from the Royal College of Music."
The 12-year-old, who attends St Richard's Catholic College in Bexhill, sang at the recent St Leonards Festival and will be singing for Hastings charity Gizmo on the pier on Sunday (August 10).
Mrs Allan, 34, said: "The organiser of the St Leonards Festival heard Jasmine singing in Alexandra Park last year and said she wanted her to come this year saying she has a voice of a angel.
"When Jasmine sings people fall in love with her voice.
"People in the know are amazed at the maturity of her voice."
Jasmine started singing more than two years ago after watching Phantom of the Opera on DVD.
Her mother said: "She just loved it and started singing around the house.
"She likes classical music and wants to be an opera singer."
Jasmine has performed in the past for Gizmo and starred in Cinderella with Opera South East.
