Mayor Maureen Charlesworth is hosting charity coffee mornings at the Town Hall on Friday and next Friday, January 16.
The fund-raising and refreshment events will take place from 10.30am to noon in the council chamber.
A traditional Burns Night is also being staged at the High Beech Hotel on Friday, January 23. Tickets are available from the mayor's secretary, Helen Bird, at the Town Hall.
The Mayor's charities are the Conquest Hospital's Special Care Baby Unit and SAFE, which raises money for respite care in the St Augustine's Unit of St Michael's Hospice.
