A charity head shave raised £500 - and left Andrew Hamilton looking years younger.

Andrew, 22, suffers from ME or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and was at the Bulverhythe pub in Bexhill Road at the weekend for the trim to raise funds for the Association of Young People with ME during ME Awareness Week this week.

Andrew, from Alma Villas, St Leonards said: "It went very well. Quite a few people turned up to watch.

"I was incredibly nervous beforehand.

"No it's strange. I keep doing things as if my hair was there, like pushing it back.

"I think I'll keep it short for now -it's much cooler in the warm weather. Most of my friends and family have liked it and said I look much younger."
