Police investigating the death of foreign language student Mohammed Al-Majed will be returning to the scene of his assault tonight (Friday) one week on.
Detectives from the inquiry team will be joined by local uniformed officers on Hastings seafront between 10.30pm and 12.30am tomorrow morning, seeking potential witnesses who may have been there at the same time last week.
Detective Chief Inspector Graham Pratt, who is leading the investigation, said: "There has been a good response to our appeals, but I am still not convinced that we have spoken to everyone who has information. I urge them to come forward.
"Anyone who saw the incident and who has not yet spoken to police should contact the Operation Hook inquiry team via 0845 60 70 999 or anonymously via Crimestoppers."
He added: "I am aware of reports in the media of Mohammed having been kicked, stamped or trodden on. There is nothing from our investigation so far both from interviews of witnesses and from forensic work to suggest this is the case."
