A teenager smashed up his dad's house after being refused his pocket money.
The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to causing £125 worth of damage when he appeared at Hastings Magistrates Court on Monday.
Mark Kateley, prosecuting, told the court: "There was an argument on Saturday morning
because the teenager's dad told him he would not be getting his allowance as he had not attended school that week.
"He got angry and kicked the bannister of the stairs and used part of the broken bits to hit the wall.
"He moved on to his dad's bedroom and smashed a glass mirror before causing other damage during a five minute long outburst."
Mr Kateley then explained to district judge Roger Ede that the teen had recently been bailed by police over a string of other offences, including possession of cannabis and shoplifting.
The judge therefore decided to adjourn the case to wait and see whether any charges resulted from the other offences.
He was released on bail and told to come back to court on October 21. Until then he was ordered not to associate with another teen who his father says is a bad influence on him and to keep his appointments with a psychologist.
Judge Ede said: "It seems to me you are in a lot of trouble and you need to co-operate fully.
"You are 15-years-old so at the moment you are going to have to go along with what people are saying.
"You have thrown away the right to make your own decisions by getting in to trouble."
