Two drivers were taken to hospital after a crash which caused long tailbacks along Bexhill Road today (Sunday).
A silver Vauxhall Corsa and a Landrover Defender collided at the junction of the busy A259 with Bexleigh Avenue at about 12.30pm.

The Landrover, which was travelling east along Bexhill Road, was overturned by the smash while the Vauxhall was left with front end damage.

Both drivers were taken to hospital but PC Catt, of Sussex Police, said he believed no one had suffered serious injuries.

He added: "We believe no one is seriously hurt but we are still in the preliminary stages of the investigation."

There were delays in both directions for about two hours while emergency teams righted the Landrover and removed both vehicles from the scene.
