Brownie Sharn Lewis has worked her way to an incredible 58 Brownie badges.
Sharn, 10, Pevensey Road, belongs to St Elthelburga's Church 10th St Leonards Brownies.

She has been awarded the special honour of an ambassador badge and got to carry the St George's Day flag at the Hastings parade.

Before Sharn leaves for Guides in a few weeks she hopes to have been awarded 70 badges in total.

Originally Sharn planned to earn all 75 badges to coincide with St Elthelburga's 75th birthday, however as she joins Guides soon she can't go on the final few Brownie trips to get them.

At the moment Sharn is working on her Swimmer and World Issues badges, among others.

Sharn wrote to the Queen and Prime Minister telling them of her accomplishments and was amazed when they wrote back.

Proud dad Kevin Lewis said: "She was so made up that these people she had only ever seen on tv took the time to write to her."

Sharn also has two Blue Peter badges including a Silver Badge for a poem she wrote about bullying, which was published in the Observer.
"I'm really proud of her," Kevin continued, "I think Brownies is an excellent thing for young girls to go to, Sharn has learnt skills that will benefit her for the rest of her life."

Jean Crowhurst was leader at 10th St Leonards when Sharn joined. She said: "Sharn was very shy when she first started, but she soon blossomed. She's always been very committed and looks after the others."

Kevin added: "I know I'm her dad but she is a really lovely, kind and helpful person."
