Charlwood man charged in connection with man's death

A CHARLWOOD man is being held by cops after a Portslade man died from severe head injuries.
The man, who has not yet been named by police, was being treated at Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre, Haywards Heath, after a brutal attack on August 17.
He had been in a critical condition since the attack at 5am outside the King Of Rock shop in Kings Road, Brighton.
James Redmile-Gordon, 29, of Charlwood, Horley had been arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with the incident.
But a spokeswoman from Sussex Police said that a more serious charge could now be considered.
She said: "James Redmile-Gordon, 29, of Russ Hill Farm, Charlwood, Horley has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and remains remanded in custody until November 14.
"A post mortem is expected to take place later today (Tuesday).
"We anticipate that CPS will look at a more serious charge, but these processes take time."
