Pensioner hit by car in town centre

AN elderly man was rushed to hospital after suffering head injuries in the town centre.
Paramedics were called to the Boulevard at 3.32pm on Tuesday afternoon (September 2) after the collision.

An 81-year-old man was taken to East Surrey Hospital with head injuries.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "Paramedics were called to Crawley town centre after a road traffic accident involving a pedestrian.

"We received several calls following an incident on The Boulevard just after 3.30pm on Tuesday."
