MASKED robbers threatened a shopkeeper and forced their way into his store stealing a `substantial sum' of cash from the safe.
The robbery took place at McColls Convenience Store, Gossops Green Parade, Crawley, at around 5.30am today (Monday 17th November 2008).
Two suspects accosted a member of staff at the rear of the premises and gained entry to the store.

hreats were made before an undisclosed quantity of cash from the safe was handed over.
Two men then left the store via the rear door and made off. It is not known if they had a vehicle or remained on foot. The victim was shocked by what took place, but received no injuries. No weapon was seen.
The first suspect is described as male, white, medium build, approx 5'6" tall who spoke with a soft Irish accent. He was wearing a balaclava and dark clothing.
The second suspect was male and is described as of a medium build, approx 5'10" tall and was also wearing a balaclava and dark clothing.
