A DEVOTED husband has spoken of how he held his dying wife in his arms after she suffered a massive brain haemorrhage.
Much loved mum-of-two Tina Stacy, 49, from Milton Mount Avenue, who was a special needs teacher assistant at Pound Hill Infant School, died at East Surrey Hospital on Wednesday August 27 after a massive bleed in her brain.
The infant school will be closing on Monday September 8, the day of Tina's funeral, as a mark of respect.
Now husband Mark, 50, who has been with Tina since he was just 17, and lives with daughter Charlotte, 20 and Thomas, 18, has paid tribute to his 'caring, loving and beautiful' wife.
Devastated Mark said: "I've known her for so long it feels like half of me is missing. "Everyone is in a state of shock.
"She was so proud of our children Thomas and Charlotte and she was so dedicated to the family.
"She had a fantastic career as a top PA but dedicated her life to our son and daughter, and when they went to school she turned up there and helped out.
"It was like part of her knew this was going to happen, she made a point before of making sure everyone knew just how much she loved us. But that's what she was like, so loving, so full of life, and always happy."
Julie Millard, 50, from Pound Hill, who has been friends with Tina for 15 years, said: "Tina was a dedicated, caring and inspirational friend and colleague who made a difference to the lives of many staff and pupils during her time at Pound Hill Infant School.
"Her sunny disposition, her warm heart and ability to see the best in everyone will mean that she will never be forgotten by us all."
