CRAWLEY Town star footballer Jon-Paul Pittman thought he was 'going to die' after a mid-air scare on a flight back to Gatwick last week.
Jon-Paul, 22, who lives in Maidenbower, was returning with the England C squad from Naples, Italy, when the British Airways Boeing 737 jet he was on pulled up moments before landing because of a suspected technical problem.

Find out what happened by clicking on the green button and watching our video interview.

A spokesperson for British Airways said:"A warning light came on in the final stages of landing and it is normal procedure for the captain to request an emergency landing in this case.

"The engineers have conducted a detailed inspection of the aircraft and discovered that there was a faulty indication light.

"Safety is a top priority for British Airways."
