Geoffrey to talk on industrial heritage

SUSSEX has had a long and varied industrial history - ranging from pre-Roman ironworking to the present Gatwick airport, from Wealden glass to modern resort facilities, from flint mining to university education.

Geoffrey Mead of Newhaven Historical Society will talk about the many strands of this industrial heritage and how they are closely woven into the county fabric. The talk takes place at the Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven on December 4 - 7pm for 7.30pm. Guests are welcome: admission £2. Enquiries: Tony Helyar 01273 515404.
