There was a sexton filling in the grave of a departed crony when, accidentally, he fell in.

He at once apologised to the corpse. ‘Beg pardon, Ted, beg pardon I’m sure,’ he said, adding as he climbed out of the grave: ‘I be sorry, Ted, but I baint be minded to change places wi’ ye!’
