Letter: Chivalrous gents to rescue at Lewes

I WOULD like to express my thanks to all the kind gentlemen, who attempted to get the flat tyre off my car two weeks ago in the (what was) Lewes Magistrates Car Park. I am utterly useless when it comes to vehicle maintenance – my mind ‘blanking out’ instantly of any common sense.

I would especially like to thank the parking attendant who not only radioed through to his colleagues regarding my predicament, but who lay on the ground in the pouring rain attempting to remove the locking bolt from my wheel!

It is refreshing to know in these tough times that chivalry is not dead and there are still people out there who want to help others.
