Letter: Is there not a recession - not in Lindfield?

NOTE to pet owners next year not only get the sedatives ready for November 5, bear them in mind for New Year’s Eve as well!

I thought there was supposed to be a recession, but it appears in Lindfield there is plenty of money to burn, judging by the amount of fireworks let off on “New Year’s Eve”. They had started by 5pm and carried on continuously until 1am and mostly were loud bangers.

I suppose I thought there may be a few going off at midnight but there were more than November the 5th and were so loud I was unable to go out and celebrate myself as my two dogs were in such a state!

I wish I had had the foresight to visit the vets and get something for them – I definitely will next year !

Chaloner Close,

Lindfield
