Letter: Thanks for donations

ON behalf of The Rotary Club of Seaford I would like to thank all those who contributed to our Christmas collection last month.

In spite of the uncertain financial situation which affects us all Santa on his sleigh, with a willing band of helpers, collected over £8,500 from the house to house collection over the weekday evenings in December and the Saturday morning appearances of Santa in Broad Street. This total is an increase on previous years and is, in itself, a testimony to the generosity of the people of this area.

It is support such as this that allows us, and other Rotary Clubs, to continue to help many individuals and charities.

Isla Sitwell, President, The Rotary Club of Seaford
