Organisers of the 13.1-mile event say that all is set to make this the best year yet and they are hoping to raise a bumper sum for five benefiting charities.
And they are hoping many spectators will come and support the runners.
They set off at 10am from Princes Park and head off towards the Pier on the gruelling course.
Spectators are advised that the best points from which to watch the race are in the park, at the Bandstand or at the Waterfront, although the course runs the length of the seafront, so between 10 and 11 am anywhere along the promenade runners can be supported.
During the main run there will be two junior runs going on in Princes Park and although the places are limited to 30 per run, there are a few spaces available to enter on the day on a first come first served basis.
Many volunteers and local businesses are supporting the event and without them the event would not happen.
These include Reid and Dean, Eastbourne Hospitality Association, Caffyns, Sign Wizard, Si Italian Restaurants, Grand Flowers, Intercon Scaffolding, Sita, Lawson Lewis Solicitors, Legal & General, Finance Planning, Eurohire, Ashprint, the Running Inn, Afton Hotel, One Life and Beckett Newspapers.
It is not too late if you wish to run as you may enter on Sunday morning from 8.30am and the organisers could still do with a few more marshals to help out during the morning.
Please telephone 07974 681011 if you are able to volunteer.
The schedule for the day is:
8.30 am On day entries open
9.00 am Southern FM music

10.15 am 1k Junior Race starts
