Coffee morning
A COFFEE morning in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Fund children's ward will be held in East Dean Village Hall on Easter Saturday.
Bishop Bell pupil Hannah Riddle has undergone intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy for six months.
Mum Brenda has arranged a coffee morning with various stalls to raise money for others like Hannah.
The coffee morning will take place between 10am and 12noon on March 22.


Charity quiz
THE FISHERMAN'S Club in Royal Parade will be hosting a charity quiz night on Thursday June 12 at 7.30pm.
Proceeds will go the Eastbourne Multiple Sclerosis Society. There will be a raffle and winners of the quiz will receive £100.
Up to six people can compete in a team and the entrance fee is £25. Light refreshments will be provided.

Street briefing
A STREET briefing by Eastbourne Police will be held on Wednesday March 26 at 6.30pm in Hoad Road.
Neighbourhood special constable Scott Franklyn-Lester for Devonshire and Meads and PCSO Roger Knowlton-Clark from the town centre and Seaside areas will be holding the briefing for local residents to discuss any issues or concerns they may have.



Waste site closedown
The household waste and recycling site in Eastbourne will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
The Hailsham site will be open from 9am to 1pm every day over the Easter break.
Kelly Booth from Veolia, which runs the sites, said, "Many people use the holiday period for a good spring clean and we want to encourage them to bring items to the recycling sites where they can be put to good use."
