Review: Lee Evans

As a result of the credit crunch there really isn't much to laugh about. Or there wasn't until I went to the Brighton Centre. For two hours I didn't stop and all the troubles in the world were forgotten.
Lee Evans, the rubbery-legged stand-up comic, had the packed house rocking with laughter throughout the whole show. Even those right at the back could see every expression his face thanks to the three Plasma screens behind him that showed him from every angle.
His material which he writes himself is fresh and original and ranges from dog poo and horse manure to talking dishwashers and washing machines. His patter is risqué but never crude and coming from him the four-letter words were never offensive.
Here is a comedian who can adapt to his audience and appeal to all ages. It is a rare performer who can hold the audience's attention for two hours on his own and leave them shouting for more. He must be exhausted after his shows and the sweat coming out of him would fill a bath but he is a great entertainer,
If you missed him this time he returns to the Brighton Centre from Tuesday 4th to Sunday 9th November so book your ticket now.
