AROUND 5,000 spectators enjoyed Newick Bonfire Society's bonfire celebrations on Saturday.
The society threw its support behind the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath, with a Save the PRH set-piece.

More than 4,000 torches burnt brightly during the evening's processions and the locals were joined by 20 visiting societies from all over the county.

A successful night was rounded off by an impressive aerial firework display which featured £4,500 worth of pyrotechnics.
