HORSHAM teacher Stephen Head died on Saturday (October 10) morning following a serious road traffic accident last week.
A note on the Tanbridge House School website from headmaster Jules White says: "I am extremely sorry to confirm that Stephen Head 'slipped away' from us all on Saturday morning. Our deepest sympathies are, of course, extended to all that knew and loved him.

"The school will operate 'as normal' tomorrow – Monday 12th October, but during Period 1 there will be time for student and staff reflection via assemblies and an extended form period. I will update you further in due course."

On Tuesday (October 6) evening the 38-year-old teacher at the Farthings Hill school was involved in an accident in Hove on his way home from work.

At around 5.45pm his blue Vauxhall Corsa car collided with a tree in Saddlescombe Road, Hove, and Mr Head was released from the car by firefighters using hydraulic and electric rescue equipment and rushed to Brighton's Royal Sussex County Hospital suffering life-threatening injuries.

You are welcome to add your comments and memories of Mr Head below.
