A MAN using a cash dispensing machine in Horsham yesterday (Tuesday November 18) was shocked when an illegal card cloning device fell out when his card was returned.
He took it into the town centre bank which called an engineer who confirmed what it was.

Horsham Police are asking customers to be extra vigilant when using cash machines, especially in the run-up to Christmas.

The card cloning device extracts data from the card allowing fraudsters to use the information to produce another card and gain access to people's accounts.

Police are asking for anyone who comes across one of these devices or spots anything unusual at the cash machines to report it both to the bank and the police.

For comprehensive coverage of all the stories making the local news, read Friday's edition of the West Sussex County Times newspaper.
