Horsham in Bloom - your chance to enter local competitions

HORSHAM in Bloom is preparing to judge local competitions and would like to give readers a last chance to enter.

The following competitions will be judged from Monday July 14 to Friday July 18:

Best Neighbourhood Front Garden – sponsored by Hillier Garden Centre.

Best North Horsham Front Garden – sponsored by North Horsham Parish Council.

Most Eye-Catching Hanging Basket or Container Award – sponsored by Hillier Garden Centre.

Public House Floral Display – sponsored by Beam Global.

Competition to be judged from Monday July 21 to Friday July 25 are:

Large/Small Retail or Commercial Premises Floral Display – sponsored by Horsham District Council and RSA.

Community Services Floral Display – sponsored by Piries Place Management.

Forms should be returned to Horsham in Bloom Competitions, Park House, North Street, Horsham, RH12 1RL.

Competitions are open to residents living in Forest, Horsham Park, Denne, Trafalgar, Holbrook and Roffey wards of Horsham and the subject of the entry should be visible to the general public.

A variety of prizes are available ranging from garden centre vouchers and cash prizes to plaques for premises.

The judges will take into account the balance between long and short-term planting, design and horticultural practice.

The judging panel will include a member of Horsham in Bloom committee and a horticulturalist along with a representative from the sponsors.
