A STRANDED car transporter sparked rush hour traffic chaos after a sat nav nightmare led the driver into the narrow lanes of Warnham on Monday (September 29).

Police were called after the lost 22 metre lorry - laden with cars - was stuck on a mini-roundabout in the village centre blocking long lines of commuter traffic at around 6pm.

Campaigning villagers said the sat nav disaster highlighted the urgency of the problem of rat-runners using Warnham as a shortcut and navigation systems choosing unsuitable routes through the village.
