I rejected my religious beliefs when I was in my teens

THROUGHOUT a long life I have constantly been prayed for. So it was interesting to read of Peter Royle's experience after being prayed for at a London church (Faith News, June 19).
My experience was somewhat different to that of Peter Royle.

While still a teenager I rejected religious beliefs and became an unbeliever. My Christian friends were horrified and promised to pray that as I grew older my views would change. My views have changed.

Now in my eighties, I am more opposed to religion, including Christianity, than I was at 18.
