A new talk for social groups and educational outlets has been prepared by members of the Sussex Military History Society on the theme of commemorating the start of the First World War 100 years ago.

Structural effects and relics, army camps and activities, naval actions and early RAF sites and scenes will be graphically presented.

Period social issues, often over-looked, will be explored.

There will be accounts from personal records, family archives and local knowledge not readily available on computer sources.

The initial presentation is at the December meeting of the society on December 18 at The Royal Oak in Station Street, Lewes; 7.30pm for 8pm start. Non-members are welcome to join in the activities.
