MID-Sussex Ariel Young Actors raised £740 when they performed an Evening Of Musicality in aid of the Queen Elizabeth Special School.
“It was a true celebration of the connection Ariel Company Theatre and the QE2 has”, said Ariel’s Nicci Hopson.
“The students performed amazingly and the teamwork to put on an evening of that magnitude was a credit to us all, in such a short space of time.
“The students of Ariel Drama Academy performed hits from Hairspray and Wicked and We Will Rock You to a standing ovation.
“It was heart warning to see our students helping with the get-in at the start and the clear-up at the end of the evening.”
Lesley Dyer, head of Queen Elizabeth School, Horsham, said: “The school are in desperate need of seating for their newly-constructed drama studio. Ariel has been raising funds throughout the whole project and we are very grateful to them for their continued support.”
