Celebrating a Sussex year
A SUSSEX Countryman's Year will be celebrated - from Lammas Day to Candlemas via Lady Day, Midsummer and Michaelmas - at Bignor Church.
The night offers a 'cornucopia of delight in music, old Sussex songs, picture images and old tales' with author and broadcaster David Arscott, Sussex folk singers The Copper Family, Rudyard Kipling performer Geoff Hutchinson, Jill Arscott and other guests on Saturday February 6 at 7.30pm.

Event spokesman Nicholas Symes said: "Following a sell-out evening in January last year, this February we have put together another cornucopia of total delight in the capable hands of Sussex author, publisher and broadcaster David Arscott.
"The Copper Family are renowned throughout the country for their old tales and songs of Sussex that go back generations, their classic Sussex humour and banter entertaining all those that have the pleasure of seeing their performances.
"Geoff Hutchinson is not only a Rudyard Kipling enthusiast but his impersonation of this great writer and poet in the true Sussex genre is quite outstanding.
"Jill Arscott will also be reading some of the classic prose and poetry of this beloved county, and David will be using some of his many recordings of old Sussex folk from his years with the BBC.
"This packed evening will be rounded off with the wassailing of the apple trees in Manor House and the odd sip or two of Sussex cider to bless the forthcoming year."
