Emergency services day for the family
Published Date:

POLICE and fire dogs, live rescue drills and burning building demonstrations are all on display at Burgess Hill's 999 Open Day on Saturday.
This year's free day, which proved a real hit last year, provides the opportunity for the public to watch exciting displays by South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAS), Sussex Police, and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
The event committee, chaired by Sgt Simon Alexander, has planned a full programme of demonstrations at The Brow in Burgess Hill.
The opening ceremony will be held at 10.30am and displays will commence at 11am and end at 4pm.
Some refreshments will be available, with proceeds going to the Firefighters Charity and Sussex Air Ambulance.
