Firefighters free girl from letterbox in Burgess Hill

FIREFIGHTERS were called to Burgess Hill after reports that a girl had stuck her arm in a letterbox.

The Burgess Hill crew released the child, a girl of primary school age, who did not suffer serious injury.

The incident happened just before noon yesterday (July 30) in a flat at Wolstonbury Court, Wolstonbury Way.

A fire brigade spokesman said: "A female child with her arm stuck in letterbox was released using small gear. Her hand needed to be released. An ambulance was not required."
