MORE THAN 70 people joined together at the Chaseley Trust for a garden party to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Wealden and Eastbourne Lifeline.
Many lifeline customers, supporters and employees from the past and present, were joined by the Mayor of Eastbourne, Cllr Carolyn Heaps and the Vice Chair of Wealden District Council, Cllr Dr. Brian Redman.
Made famous by the red pendant alarm, Wealden and Eastbourne Lifeline (WEL) is now amongst the market leaders in the independent living sector, providing peace of mind and reassurance to nearly 30,000 people across the UK and making and answering 600,000 telephone calls every year.
Mark Bannister, WEL managing director, said: “It was terrific to see so many old friends who made hugely valuable contributions to the formation of Lifeline and the tremendous success the organisation enjoys today. Chaseley provided a wonderful setting for our event and I’m sure that the occasion will live long in the memories of all those that attended.”
