The Rotary Club of Seaford has recognised charity Homelink’s vital work in helping home vulnerable people and donated £300 to the organisation.
Homelink makes interest-free loans to help vulnerable and homeless people of limited means access private rented accommodation.
The Rotary Club said more than 40 per cent of the charity’s clients last year came from Seaford.
A former prisoner who had been homeless since his release was helped by the charity. His marriage had broken down and he was in desperate straits and sleeping rough. Homelink loaned him the money to fund a tenancy so he could be near his family. For more information about the charity visit http://www.lewesdistrictchurcheshomelink.org.uk/
