TWO 4x4 vehicles were torched by arsonists.
Police and firefighters were called to a field on Laughton Road, Ringmer just after 2am on Friday.

The two vehicles and a nearby hedge were alight when the fire crew from Lewes arrived at the scene.

It took the firefighters an hour to put out the fires using hoses and foam.

The owners of the cars, a Landrover Discovery and a Suzuki Vitari, live in a house opposite and had no explanation why their vehicles were targeted.

Sussex Police is treating the fires as arson and is appealing for anyone with information about the incident to call 0845 6070999.
