A CAR was torched in a quiet residential area near the Pells Pool.
In the early hours of November 1 a red Peugeot 106 was set on fire in Pelham Terrace, Lewes.

The fire was so intense it spread to a second vehicle parked behind.

Despite the efforts of firefighters the car Peugeot was completely burnt out and the second vehicle was severely damaged.

Heat from the fire also caused damage to the guttering and windows of the nearby Lewes New School building.

Firefighters also doused the school to stop the fire from spreading.

If you have any information about this crime please contact the police on 0845 6070999.
