A NEW bid to build 75 homes has been launched after a public inquiry.
Gleeson Homes wants to build the homes east of Woodside Farm, Hempstead Lane, Hailsham.

The development would include flats and houses with one to four bedrooms.

The plans include 23 affordable homes.

Cars, lorries and residents would use the same access route to the development through Hempstead Lane.

A pedestrian link will also be forged on Gleneagles Drive, on the eastern boundary of the homes.

A planning inspector overturned Wealden District Council's refusal to grant planning permission last November.

Wealden District Council will decide the new application by April 2.
