A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME dream TV makeover felt more like a nightmare for the Mayor of Uckfield, Cllr Louise Eastwood.
Louise was given the new look by Trinny Woodall, half of the Trinny and Susannah team.

The results will be screened as part of the duo's Dress the Tribes series starting this autumn.

Although she pronounced herself as 'moderately happy' with the new haircut and outfits, Louise said the problems arose with Trinny's 'Jekyll and Hyde' character.

She said: 'I wish I'd had Susannah. She's a bit more down to earth, really nice.

'Although Trinny was all huggy-kissy one minute, she was barking the rest of the time.'

Louise described how Trinny spent the night at her Uckfield home as part of the programme, but confined herself to her room and didn't introduce herself to her husband and children.

She went on: 'She hid in her bedroom all night.'

And she said: 'I was pressurised into this. It was absolutely unbearable.

'We argued non-stop but I stood my ground.'

When Trinny attended a council meeting two weeks ago, people told her they thought Louise was 'possibly in her early 50s' when in fact she was only 38.

Trinny wanted to dress her in a way which kept her authority but made her look younger and trendier.

She's pictured here at a mock village fete in Godstone, Surrey, where Louise and other 'victims' were revealed with their new looks.
Louise laughed: 'We kept two outfits – this one was from Peter Jones and cost a fortune.

'I only did it to put Uckfield on the map.'
