Hoogstraten cottages to be demolished

COTTAGES on the High Cross Estate - owned by controversial businessman Nicholas van Hoogstraten - are to be demolished and rebuilt inside the estate boundaries in Framfield.
After several years of negotiation, Wealden District Council has approved the scheme.

The approval was subject to a lengthy list of conditions including one which means the former site of the cottages must be returned to agricultural land.
