Off-road bikers hurt in crash

TWO OFF-road motorcyclists were both seriously injured after they crashed into each other at the former chalk pit near Cliffe Industrial Estate.
The accident happened on Sunday afternoon at around 2pm.

One rider was rushed to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton by police helicopter, while the other was taken to the same hospital by ambulance.

A 24-year-old man from Uckfield was released from hospital on Monday, and a 20-year-old man from Fairwarp was released the following day.

Police are investigating the crash.
