AN articulated lorry caused traffic chaos yesterday (Thursday) when it overturned on the A26 near the Beddingham landfill site.
The accident happened just before 5pm. The road was not fully reopened for almost six hours.

After an hour-and-a-half one lane was reopened but the road was closed again at around 9pm while the lorry was recovered.

Traffic in the area was heavily congested until 11pm.

The driver suffered minor injuries.
