Pool cue attack on man in car park
A MAN was taken to hospital after being beaten with pool cues.
The 24-year-old from Seaford, who has not yet been named, was in the car park at MacDonalds in Newhaven at around 8pm on Saturday.
A group of youths are said to have starting hurling abuse at the man and his friends.
He asked them to stop and go away and one of the youngsters pushed him.
He pushed the boy back and the group of youngsters left.
A short time later a car pulled up close to the man and his friends.
Two men got out armed with pool cues and attacked him, hitting him around the head.
The men then left and the victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for a nine centimetre cut near his eye.
Three men from the Newhaven area have been arrested in connection with
the attack and released on police bail.
A report has been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service.
