A SUSPECTED bomb at the University of Brighton in Falmer has been found to be harmless.
Construction workers uncovered what they thought was an unexploded World War Two bomb at around 11.40am today (Wednesday).

Students and staff were evacuated and a 100 metre cordon was set up around it.

The object was identified as a 25lb artillery shell but disposal experts decided a controlled explosion was not necessary and the shell was taken away.

The all-clear was sounded at around 3pm and normal service resumed at the university.
