A levels: Heathfield students celebrate best results ever

Students at Heathfield Community College are celebrating after achieving the best grades ever.

Apprehensive students gathered at the school campus today (Thursday August 15) to collect their A level results.

Students achieved a 58% pass rate in A*-B grades and 87% of the grades were A*-C.

Barry Howard, Head of Sixth Form, said: “By the government standard measure, they achieved 58% A*-B grades and 87% of the grades were A*-C. We are thrilled.”

Of the many students with outstanding results, Amy Lloyd-Stubbs, Ben Parkes and Alastair White achieved three A*s.

Kelly-Anne Bray, Alex Goodsell and Jamie King-Cox got two A*s and an A.

Others with at least three A*s and As included Greg Ball, Charlie Killick, Kerry Pert, Adam

Davis, Hannah Mitchell, and Ebony Wong.

Headteacher, Alan Powell, said: “We have a strong sense of responsibility to our students in terms of sending them into their futures with the best possible preparation.

“These A Level results celebrate the achievement of all whether they go onto university, apprenticeships or the world of work. My sincere congratulations to them all.”
