A POWERFUL film about a boy who refuses to talk and is capable of self-harm will be shown by Hailsham Film Club.
Hailsham Film Club will be showing ‘Abel’ (cert 15) at 7.45pm in Hailsham Pavilion Cinema in George Street on March 8.
The film by Diego Luna tells the story of Abel, a disturbed nine-year-old who returns home after spending two years in a psychiatric ward.
He has refused to talk and is capable of self-harm but his doctor has observed tentative signs of improvement, as long as the adults in Abel’s life are patient.
All are welcome at normal cinema rate of £6 and £4.50 concession. Members discount of £1.
