A MAJOR public consultation on how adult social care in East Sussex should be managed in the future will run until February 16.
The consultation into the community care budget needs people’s views on proposed changes in two areas – eligibility criteria and allowances for disability related expenditure (DRE).
More than 15,000 questionnaires and information leaflets are being sent to users of our services, their carers, East Sussex residents’ panel, hundreds of partner agencies and providers.
There will also be meetings with different representative groups and other forums for discussion.
The consultation began on January 5 and will last six weeks.
Anyone can take part as the consultation using the adult social care pages on our website at: www.eastsussex.gov.uk/socialcare.
