Beautiful Telscombe Tye and Telscombe Village are featuring in a TV advert for Walkers Crisps starring Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker.
Filming was taking place earlier in August, which the Sussex Express discovered through Twitter.
The advert was aired for the first time this week on Monday September 16 during an episode of Ramsay’s Hotel Hell on Channel 4.
We caught up with Gary to find out what he thought about Telscombe, Lewes and the Albion.
Gary said: “It was a beautiful part of the world and a stunning backdrop. It was chosen for a reason.”
And our spies have previously spotted Gary heading into Cliffe High Street cafe Le Magazin.
He said: “I was down in Lewes with Danielle about a year ago.
“We were just passing through the town and had a walk down the High Street.
“We took a look in a few antique shops. It was a very quaint place.”
We also asked him whether he thought it was possible that he might introduce Brighton and Hove Albion on Match of the Day in the future?
He said: “It’s not impossible. They weren’t that far off last season.
“I drove past their new ground last week but I haven’t been inside it. It looked very impressive from the outside.”
Viewers will see Gary careering over the countryside in Telscombe in the advert as he hunts for home grown ingredients used in Walker’s core range of crisps.
Unaware that he’s losing his potatoes, tomatoes and even a wheel of Somerset cheese, Gary ploughs through fields, disrupts a cricket game and leaves a rush of people clambering over each other and tumbling down a hill to grab his lost ingredients.
